Why is FAITH Important?

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.

Faith is about things not yet in our grasp and things yet unseen!

Who Cares? Why not simply spend my waking hours on things I have, and see right now, and have a level of control of? Why worry about things unseen?

Faith is only needed where knowledge is insufficient!

When comparing finite existence to infinite existence, the primary difference is “the absence of knowledge!”.

IF mankind were infinite, having all knowledge, both historical and future, we certainly would NOT need faith!

We would also have little need for hope, for expectation or indeed trust! Our life would be filled with confidence and void of doubt!

So, from the opposite perspective, our lack of eternal life fills us with doubt, questions and diminishes our confidence. We strive to answer life’s most important questions. When we arrive at the place where our knowledge fails us, we are at the place where God’s plan “wants” us!

We then are forced to exercise FAITH! Faith in things NOT seen ( or known). Ultimately, if not faith in God, it’s faith in some man-made system of beliefs, or scientific (unprovable) theory. We do so because the void in us requires filling!

Absent having all the answers, all knowledge, eternity if you will, only Faith, Hope, Love and expectation can fill the void within us!

This is the CREATORS DESIGN! God created us ALL to ultimately be with him! He created us as eternal Spiritual beings, caught in a fleshly body that exists in a finite world.

We are drawn to acknowledge a God who has named himself “I AM”. When we do so, we also acknowledge the existence of our spirit. We can only communicate with God through the Spirit. (Ours to His).

Having done so, we begin to Live by FAITH
