Disrespecting the Anthem or Flag? REALLY?

The real problem with the “Disrespectful kneeling during the Anthem protest” is three fold:

1). It’s too brief to send a clear message, so it is insulting when received. Write an op-ed, post on FB, or Twitter, or write a book! Be specific and clear about your cause.
2). It’s a rude invasion of the fans leisure time!
3) I’m a Political Animal! But.. politics is a very serious matter! Just how little time you’ve invested in your protest is part of the insult! The same is true when Famous Personalities of any kind take short “pot shots” at anyone, or any topic. I am very interested in what they think, but NOT in cheap slap shots with no debat or opposing opinion! Wealthy Hollywood, Sports & TV Talk Show “Stars” should recognize their responsibility to explain their positions in detail, and be willing to accept (and host) opposing opinions, or just shut up! Trump is right on this one gang! The very future of our elections indeed our Nation and our World, depend on intelligent discourse and our ability as a society to shut down quick slap shots, drive-by statements, rumors and fake news!  The major News Providers used to do this!  We have become accustomed to lousy News Reporting with shallow investigation and very little REAL evidence!

Current News Networks report only the stories and facts that promote their favorite narrative! This leads to all of them grabbing that BIG headliner and running with it!   So, the AP issues one of these shallow stories, and suddenly all the  “Independent Networks” across the American landscape are carrying it! This makes for an extremely volatile world! It begins with us not making those who have a platform because they’re now wealthy, (afforded them by a free capitalistic society) responsible for their actions. We ask why there are riots in our streets! We as a society allow those with a platform to throw the gasoline, followed by the Networks throwing the lit match!

Yes, I believe the NFL Owners, the League, the Players Union and WE need to step back and reassess our actions. We need to ask ourselves and others; “Is this really the best we can do?” “Is there no a more efficient method to make our grievances known, than to disrespect that which symbolizes the Unity that made (and continues to make) America great?
